It invests substantially all of its assets in U.S. Treasury bills with remaining maturities between one and three months, providing exposure to the ultrashort end of the U.S. Treasury market. These zero-coupon securities offer high liquidity and minimal credit risk as obligations of the U.S. government. The ETF employs a representative sampling technique to track the index, holding a portfolio of short-term T-bills across various maturities within the specified range, such as those maturing in 119 days, 182 days, or 364 days. Managed by State Street Global Advisors, it distributes dividends monthly and serves investors seeking a low-volatility cash equivalent instrument for parking funds or managing short-term liquidity needs in fixed income portfolios. Launched in 2007 and domiciled in the United States, SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF plays a key role in offering precise, efficient access to the performance of very short-term U.S. government securities.
